[edit]Mylonitic gneiss with garnet (red) and plagioclase (white) porphyroblasts, Otrøy, Western Gneiss Region, Norway. The mylonite forms the tectonic contact between Baltica autochthonous and allochthonous Blåhø nappe. Coin of 1 euro (diameter 2,3 cm) for scale.
